attachement to 30. best shape for hefty men to go down to inspect sewers
      oh and
      45. the two ships would weigh the same. The size equals that they are made up of an equal amount of material ie 200 tons of steel and 200 tons of wood. Equal strength must mean that the wood must be compressed so tight that it would have the same density as the metal. Same denisty and same amount of materials would make the ships equal in weight

    35. I figured that you aren't looking for the exact method to this so I'll try to answer this.
Thunder is always preceded by lightning. Light also travels faster than sound. So in order to determine how far away the thunder is, you measure the duration from when you see the lightning to when you hear the thunder. And then you have to do some math -.-

    42. I'm assuming that "33 1/3" is the type of record, not thirty-three "thirds of a record". I'm guessing those huge records back then work sorta like CDs. Like if you look at a music CD, the data area isn't really separated for each track. So, I'm guessing that each side of the record has only one groove, one looong groove that spirals around the whole record.

    45. Eat enough of the lettuce until it fits through the fence. Then the rabbit wouldn't eat all of the lettuce and wouldn't get too fat to not fit through the fence, therefore being able to fit the small enough lettuce past the fence. Once both subjects are on the other side of the fence, past the vicinity of the farmer's shotgun, the rabbit can proceed to finish the rest of the lettuce.

second 45. The question was "Can you explain which one is heavier?" Following blindduelist's explanation that both ships are of the same weight, my answer is:
No, you can't explain which one is heavier, since they are of the same weight.
