I still need to get my permit... lol
Ok so:
1. internet classes
2. pass written test
3. pass driving test
4. get permit
5. turn 16
6. get license
haha. mine was really easy. get in the car. drive where they tell you. return to parking lot.
what's even more funny is how my friends have failed...
- Pulled out of the left turn lane to turn left. light turns red. runs the red light.
- Reversed out of parking spot without checking to see if anyone was behind.
- Drove halfway in the bike lane.
- Didn't have both hands on the wheel.
- Went 40 mph in the neighborhood.
haha yeah my friends are pretty intelligent people. but really don't even stress. maybe drive around the area by the DMV and get yourself familiar with the speed limit and you'll be good. good luck!
did you guys manage to learn how to turn in one try? i still get yelled at by my instructor because i'm failing at calming down and realizing that i'm putting too much pressure on the gas pedal while turning
Turning comes from a lot of experience. Different people have different learning curves.
I hate you guys, my mom lifted my hopes of driver's ed by buying me that car. She said I'd start during Spring Break. My cousin heard her secretly tell my aunt that she's postponing it to October instead.
just give your mom the dates of the class you want to do and look way into it.
get forms ready etc.
parents like it when they see you working for something you want.
This is true.
If you take the initiative to get the info for yourself, your parents will probably let you go just because you're acting like an adult. Remember: Driving is serious business. If you were an adult with kids, would you be scared if your child was left alone with a metal vehicle that has the potential to not only kill you, but another person? If your mom is moving the date, that means she cares for you, and is still treating you like a "dang kid" instead of a "stupid young adult"
Okay here's how it works
Concord: Easy mode unless you get that small asian lady, then HARD MODE ENGAGED (I failed with that bitch)
Walnut Creek: Hard mode (especially while driving during rush hour). Surprisingly, I passed and one of my errors was the exact same one I failed with in the Concord DMV
Pittsburgh: Easy Mode (so I hear). I hear all you do is drive from taco bell and back. If you take this route, you're a wuss.
The most important thing you'll need is experience. Also, it's nice to watch youtube videos that the DMV sends out. Search California DMV and look for "rules of the road " and some other things.
lol the infamous small asian lady... i wonder how many she has unsuspecting victims she has failed.
ohh the irony... small asian lady failing other people for their driving.
homg ur right jiexi xD
LOOK IN THE MIRRORS CONSTANTLY! well not constantly cuz uh, then you would crash into someone else's car.
but like, before turning left/right, look at your mirrors, look behind you, THEN turn! hehehe
oh, and same with changing lanes/parking car...look over shoulder and look for blind spots or whatever they're called and then cautiously change/turn/switch/whatever.
Dad sent me this. I hate how my parents taunt me when they're preventing me from starting driver's ed until this October.
good tips thanks guys
I should prob start thinking about all this stuff.
