Definitely looks interesting, anyone plan on getting one? I'm sure most of you guys won't be replacing your actual Wii with this though.

They're starting to dump the Wii's they still have left. $149 will get you a Wii, controller, and 2 games (fry's ad, last sunday)

Opinions?

Idea looks potentially great. Nintendo's finally focusing on the graphics. However, that controller looks like a touchscreen PSP. I am betting my money that it's NOT going to be anywhere near cheap. If Nintendo does make it inexpensive somehow, that will definitely get me to consider the Wii U.
Then again, this is the first contender in eighth-generation console gaming. If the Wii U is just finally getting up to par in graphics with the PS3 and Xbox 360, it's going hurt when Sony and Microsoft reveal their eighth gen systems...

My guess... $400. Possibly $350 since Nintendo has been able to make all initial investments back when they've discounted their consoles before.

Honestly, Nintendo can't offer a cheap product that is a true power house when it come to gaming. No company can do it, there are base prices to things. Things get cheaper over time, but they lose usability in the real world as more advance technology is developed.

So basically, PS3 and Xbox 360's will always be 1 step ahead of Wii's in power, but perhaps not gameplay since the Wii was the first to do motion controlled games, but not point and shoot.
